Sam "Chip" Sexton, III

Partner · Arkansas & Oklahoma

Sam "Chip" Sexton, III was born and raised in Fort Smith. After graduating from Southside High School, Chip worked as a police officer with the Fort Smith Police Department and the Springdale Police Department. He attended the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in 1979 and graduated with the top academic honor in his class. In 1982, he received the J.E. Munns, Jr. Memorial Humanitarian Award from the Arkansas Municipal Police Association in recognition of his actions as a police officer, which resulted in saving the life of a person injured in a burning vehicle.

Chip earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas in May 1984. He went on to graduate with High Honors as valedictorian of the University of Arkansas School of Law in May 1987, finishing with a grade point average slightly above a straight A average due to the number of A+ grades he earned. While in law school, he was also a member of the Arkansas Law Review.

After graduating, Chip earned the highest score on the Arkansas Bar Examination among those who took the exam in the spring of 1987. He then practiced law alongside his father, Sam Sexton, Jr., in Fort Smith, Arkansas, from March 1987 to April 1996, and became a licensed member of the Oklahoma Bar Association in 1987 as well.

In April 1996, Chip began serving as general counsel for a public company, a role he held until 1999. In January 2000, he took on the role of general counsel for Loislaw.com, Inc., an internet-based legal research company, where he served until November 2001.

Throughout his career, Chip has served on the boards of various for-profit and non-profit organizations. His legal practice focuses primarily on personal injury and insurance litigation, and he is licensed to practice law in both Arkansas and Oklahoma. Chip is married and has one son and two daughters.

Ziad Masri

Partner

Ziad Masri is a partner at Sexton & Masri Law Firm, where his practice focuses on personal injury and medical malpractice.

Ziad attended Vanderbilt University and Southern Methodist University, and earned his legal degree from our proud state, at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

Ziad has practiced law for over 20 years, assisting people who have been injured by others.

Ziad's father practiced medicine for over 45 years and earned the trust and respect of both his patients and his colleagues. That upbringing gives the firm a perspective on the medical field that most personal injury practices do not have, and it shapes how Ziad approaches malpractice and serious injury cases.
